Nuada Le Drève

SOPRANO

French soprano Nuada Le Drève is a member of the Opera Studio of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia for the 2024–2026 seasons. She is recognized for the clarity of her timbre, her expressive stage presence, and her versatility across operatic, concert, and chamber music repertoire.

Training and Education

Originally trained as a violinist, she discovered polyphonic singing through the Cursus Voix program led by conductor Laura Celeski. In 2018, at the age of nineteen, she graduated with distinction and unanimous praise from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Avignon.

That same year, she entered the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, where she studied with Frédéric Gindraux and Jean-Philippe Clerc, obtaining both her Bachelor and Master degrees by 2023.

She further broadened her artistic and linguistic training at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, studying with Rainer Trost and attending Lied classes with Mathias Lademann and Markus Hadulla.

She is currently pursuing advanced training with Hedwig Fassbender and Jeanne-Michèle Charbonnet, and has benefited from the guidance of renowned artists in masterclasses, including Jennifer Larmore, John Fiore, Alexia Cousin, Francisco Araiza, Carlos Chausson, Alex Esposito, Matthew Rose, Christoph Loy, Myra Huang and Marie- Claude Chappuis among others.

In April 2024, she took part in the Internationale Meistersinger Akademie in Neumarkt, Germany, under the direction of Edith Wiens and Tobias Truniger.

Operatic and Concert Engagements

Her operatic repertoire already encompasses Cendrillon in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon (Opéra de Lausanne; Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía), Zweite Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte under Frank Beermann and Pierre Bleuse (Opéra de Lausanne; Sion Festival), Anna in Verdi’s Nabucco under John Fiore (Opéra de Lausanne), the Blue Fairy in Gloria Bruni’s Pinocchio (Opéra de Lausanne), and the Bride in Stravinsky’s Les Noces under Daniel Reuss (Théâtre du Jorat). She has also covered the role of Blanche de la Force in Robert Carsen’s production of Dialogues des Carmélites at the Palau de les Arts.

On the concert stage, she has appeared at the Opéra de Montpellier and the Grand Théâtre de Genève.

Awards and Distinctions

A laureate of the Leenaards Foundation (2023), she has also been recognized in several competitions: third prize at the International Competition for Young Opera Singers in Nîmes, the Young Talent Prize Michele Voisinet in Béziers (2022), the Young Hope Prize of the Centre Français de Promotion Lyrique in Arles (2018), and as a finalist at the Voix Nouvelles competition.

Upcoming Projects

Her forthcoming engagements include, among others, Laura in Verdi’s Luisa Miller under Sir Mark Elder (December 2025), the soprano solo in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, and covering Liù in Puccini’s Turandot at the Palau de les Arts.
